Migrant Farmworker Historic Context Study
The Miami-Dade County Office of Historic Preservation is undertaking a Context Study of historic places significant to Migrant Farmworker communities. Building upon earlier countywide survey work, incorporating areas of the community and groups historically excluded from previous preservation efforts, Phase III, centers the history and heritage of Migrant Farmworker communities throughout Miami-Dade.
We welcome learning about all types of places important to the heritage and history of Migrant Farming communities in Miami-Dade. These could include sites that still exist or are no longer here. Examples of sites include houses, churches, stores, cemeteries, community centers, parks, playgrounds, schools and restaurants.
